I have been a practitioner of Traditional Chinese

Medicine in Chicago for over 15 years. During that time, I have maintained a private practice, while also working at a number of hospital-affiliated HIV clinics and research centers, among them Chicago Institute for Neurosurgery and Neuroresearch where I collaborated with chiropractors and physical therapists on treatment modalities for spinal injury patients.

My initial training was at Jay Scherer’s Academy of Natural Healing and SouthwestCollege of Acupuncture, both in Santa Fe, New Mexico. In addition, I’ve been fortunate to be able to continue my study of Chinese Medicine with some of the best-known acupuncture teachers in the world such as, Steven Birch, Steven Brown, Richard Tan, Kiko

Matsumoto, Dr.Wei Chieh Young, Susan Johnson and others. I have also studied cranio-sacral therapy with the Upledger Foundation and with Michael OShea, as well as the advanced massage techniques of Paul St. John and structural therapy with Althea Northage-Orr and Ed Spencer.

During my 15 years of practice, I have helped people make enormous changes in their health and lifestyles. Wherever I’m working, what I enjoy most is combining and blending what I know to meet the needs of each person. Helping someone with their healing is a very intimate occurrence. Finding what’s appropriate for each patient is what I strive for.  There is a kind of alchemy in this that I find enormously challenging and immensely satisfying.
